Dasam guruay namah
This sketch was done back in 2011. Here I was in the process of figuring out the puratan dumalla and kalgi, and I was experimenting with the halo/chakra motifs. Having the khanda-emblem in the back, with the swords and chakar peeking from the sides. I thought it looked really cool and prevented historical authenticity from getting destroyed. The khanda-emblem did not exist at the time of Guru Sahib, so I didn't like the idea of putting it in as a physical object anywhere in the painting.
