A girl who was sold at 10 in Afghanistan, now the youngest female rapper

A girl who was sold at 10 in Afghanistan, now the youngest female rapper:-

The story of this youngest female rapper who started off her life just like those meek sheep who remain silent and abide by the orders will inspire you to the core. She was like any other Afghani girl who is shy and are promised no right of education, remain calm and suffocated and end up all their lives working for the family and society. An ideal girl in Afghanistan is expected to be the same.

According to Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission, girls who are as young as 15 are sold as young brides to man who are much older than their age.

Sonita Alizadeh was among those girls who was sold at the young age of 10, but her aspirations and altitudes didn’t let her mum and silenced. She betrayed a good and shy Afghani girl to become the youngest rapper all to fulfill her dreams.

This 18 year old rapper can sway your senses with her amazing lyrics and rapping style. The bold grounds in her speech and fearless lyrics determines her heart-touching diabolic story that is difficult and inhuman to hear.

She survived next to her death being sold as a bride at the mere age of 10, so that her brother could get his wife by paying the bride price.

This is just another horrid face of Afghanistan girls where they are considered not more than commodity who are ‘bought and sold’.

This girl grew up listening to Eminem and Iranian rappers all her life and by the time was working as a bathroom cleaner at an NGO. She somehow eloped from the war in Afghanistan, and held her hand together to work for her sanity and aims. She commenced her career by started recorded for few music producers. However, it was also illegal for girl to sing without the permission of Government.

She didn’t stop there and just after winning a competition to write an anthem of the people of Afghanistan to vote she got enrolled herself with the scholarship from Wasatch Academy in the USA. She followed her journey singing, rapping and composing songs against child marriage.

She now has her documentary which will recently be premiered at the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam.
