World’s First Airmail
On February 18th 1911, French Pilot Henri Piquet, took off in a two-seater bi-plane from a polo field in Allahabad.
The plane was loaded with 6500 cards and letters and flew for 5 miles. It landed 13 minutes later in Naini, creating history as the World’s First Airmail.
